Weekly Group Lessons

NEW for 2021! Irish Fiddle Foundations ONLINE

Every Friday, I will post a new video on Facebook and YouTube teaching a new tune or technique. There will be links to sheet music and audio files accompanying each lesson. Leave me a comment or sent me an email at charlene.adzima@gmail.com and let me know what you think! I will take tune or technique requests as well as whatever constructive criticism comes to mind.

Spring 2021 - Zoom Group Lessons - Kids only

Yahara Fiddle Club (for kids)

Taught entirely by ear, this group explores fiddle and violin music extending beyond standard Classical repertoire. We have learned tunes from Irish, American, Swedish and other traditions and often incorporate body movements (dance!) into our performances. We will be playing and socializing, perhaps producing some video projects and maybe some (physically-distanced) outdoor group playing, if weather and the virus allows. Wednesdays 4:30-5:15p Central Time Zone (US) for 8 weeks (4/7 - 5/26), $80 per student payable before the first day of class. Open to any violinist who can play up through Suzuki Book 1 or equivalent, unless you have prior authorization from Charlene.

Register here and I will return an invoice to you in the order I receive registrations. All classes are filled on a first-come-first-serve basis.

Book 1 Group (for kids)

Playing in a weekly group class is fundamental to experiencing the Suzuki approach fully. Students not only have the opportunity to maintain their repertoire, but by playing engaging games we learn how to play well together and communicate musically. Students who participate in group classes concurrently with private lessons are more likely to continue with their instrument in the future. Wednesdays 3:45-4:30p Central Time Zone (US) for 8 weeks (4/7 - 5/26), $80 per student payable before the first day of class. Open to any student studying Suzuki Book 1 with a private teacher.

Register here and I will return an invoice to you in the order I receive registrations. All classes are filled on a first-come-first-serve basis.

Upcoming

0 remaining class sessions for YFC and BK1G:

  • We're taking a break this summer!
  • But I will compile a tunebook with recordings for you to work on over the summer.
  • YFC and BK1G will return in Fall 2021

Spring 2021 Recital

Either May 1 or 2, 2021 starting at 10AM or 1PM. Survey is ongoing!

Summer Lessons

Since I won't have group lessons over the summer, I will have more lesson slots to fill. I already have quite a waiting list, but contact me to get on it and I'll let you know if your number comes up!
