Summer Fiddle Group (for kids)
Primarily using ear-training, we will learn a bushel of tunes from various traditions and do a lot of playing and socializing, perhaps including some video projects and maybe some (physically-distanced) outdoor group playing, if weather and the virus allows. Wednesdays 4:30-5:15p Central Daylight Time (US) for 12 weeks (6/3 - 8/19), $120 per student payable before the first day of class. Open to any violinist who can play up through Suzuki Book 1 or equivalent, unless you have prior authorization from Charlene. Only 6 spots left!
Happy Hour Tunes (for adults)
Primarily using ear-training, we will learn new tunes from your choice of traditions, perform tunes we like, and develop a shared repertoire. Play along and have a beverage! Mondays 6:00-6:45p Central Daylight Time (US) for 12 weeks (6/1 - 8/17), $120 per student payable before the first day of class. Open to any adult who can play Twinkle or has studied with a teacher for at least a year.
Only 8 spots left!

Coming up in Fall 2020-2021: ***All times are subject to change***
Yahara Fiddle Club (YFC) is a social performance group open to all violinists who have completed Suzuki Book 1 or equivalent. YFC meets on Mondays at 6441 Enterprise Lane in Madison from 4:30p - 5:15p. Taught entirely by ear, this group explores fiddle and violin music extending beyond standard Classical repertoire. We have learned tunes from Irish, American, Swedish and other traditions and often incorporate body movements (dance!) into our performances.
This is an active performing group and we have 2 to 3 performances per session. You must commit to attend at least 2 out of the three performances per session or 1 out of 2 in the Spring Session. Click here to see YFC in action!
Book 1 Group (BK1G) is a social performance group for any student studying Suzuki Book 1 with a private teacher. BK1G meets on Wednesdays at 6441 Enterprise Lane in Madison from 4:15p - 5:00p. Playing in a weekly group class is fundamental to experiencing the Suzuki approach fully. Students not only have the opportunity to maintain their repertoire, but by playing engaging games we learn how to play well together and communicate musically. Students who participate in group classes concurrently with private lessons are more likely to continue with their instrument in the future.
Pricing and session lengths are the same for both classes.
For the 2019-2020 school year, we have 3 class sessions:
